I can't say anything on something i know nothing about except on TV i have never been to New York but have meet enough people from there to know i don't want to go there myself unless it was upper new York.

you should come to nyc and see for yourself. movies don't do it justice- they just tell a story with nyc in the background. I'll tell you one thing though- downtown is much more diverse and filled with artistic culture than "upper new york"
